"Diane, I want you to
go with Violet to get the
fake tree from the
Wiler's."
"Mom, in this book it
says people used to use
real trees."
"Where did you get that
book?" demanded her
mother grabbing the book,
lifting the diamond pained
window and tossing it out.
"You have .plenty of time
to watch our 52 inch tele-
vision or just sit and relax,
now don't bother me
because I have to hang up
your silk stocking."
Diane Sighed and went
upstairs. She pushed back
the velvet curtains and
peered out the window.
She thought of all the sto-
ries of poor people freez-
ing in the streets. She gave
another sigh and vent to
lie on her mahogany bed.
Pulling the curtains
around her bed she
thought of ways to escape.
I could go out the window
on to'the marble balcony
she thought, but 1 might
rip my satin dress, 1 don't
have any pants at all. I've
got to get away! Every
Christmas morning I come
downstairs in my silk
dress, eat breakfast of fruit
and french toast, sit on my
velvet cushion and get
bored reading Christmas
cards. Then, I finally get
to open my 50 presents
which are all dolls, even
though I'm 11. I have to
run away tonight!
That night, Diane tip-
toed over to her diamond.
paned window, lifteduit
and climbed on to the bal-
cony. She climbed down
the trellis but careful as
she was, there was a big
tear in her dress. She
heard a voice coming from
her window.
"Diane where are you?"
Diane gasped...Woke
up!
"Diane, why are yob
gasping like that?" Her
mother was standing over
her. "Get up and come
down for breakfast."
Diane gave a sigh and
said, "This is the best
Christmas ever."

Some wee wee tips
To make a festive meal out
of an economical utility
turkey, baste it often while
'roasting it, brown it well
and serve it cut into help-
ings on a platter of shred-
ded lettuce. Make lots of
gravy.
Homemade cranberry
sauce is easy to make
from the instructions on
the package. Try reducing
the amount of sugar in
half for a main dish of
stewed cranberries with a
delicious, tarter taste.
If you have room enough
in your freezer compart-
ment, keep the liquid
drained from cooked,
canned or fresh vegeta-
bles. Use it instead of
plain water in soups,
sauces and gravy. It adds
nutrients and flavor.
If you don't have a lot of
money to buy presents,
shop for gifts that are
novel, practical and made
from materials that last.
Check out the local stores
that cater to people who
have $40 to spend on 40
people.
To save on wrappings, buy
a large, decorative,
Christmas shopping bag
for each family member.
Keep it from year to year
like a stocking. Fill it with
presents wrapped in sim-
ple tissue paper. Shop
around for the bags. The
price varies greatly.
If you kept last year's
Christmas cards, try recy-
cling them as tags or stick-
ers. Find a design that can
be cut out with pinking
shears. Leave enough
white space to write a
name on and use it as a
parcel tag.

In Christmas 2015 1
would like it to be like the
trees you just have to
press a button and it
would be decorated and
trimmed.
For a special dinner just
add water and it's made.
When you go to eat,
hands, will come out and
feed you.
When you go on your
internet you can buy pre-
sents off of it and in no
time its at your house. The
gifts would be electroni-
cally coded so only the,
person that it is for can
open it.
Santa's reindeer might
might be robotic and wear
jet packs. Your skates
would have jets on them
and you don't have to'
pump.
You want to go some-
where in your water car,
so put water in instead of
gas.
