Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Sleightholm and boys of St. Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. oyd Sleighthol Brantford, Mr. and s. Dalton Noles and famil of Crediton, Mr. and -Mrs. Bill Burnell and boys of Uxbridge', Mr. and Mrs. David Sleightholm and family of Goderich. On Saturday afternoon about 25 volunteers who help out at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Horne were treated to a Christmas party at the home of Trudy Foran of Whitechurch. Visiting and a delicious lunch prepared by Trudy was enjoyed by everyone. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott and Karen visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. David Elliott and family of London. WI Whitechurch Women's Institute enjoyed dinner Christmas on Dec. 10 at the Maitland Restaurant in Wingham. Fifteen ladies attended. Following the dinner everyone went to the home of Marjorie Wall., Wingham, for the meeting. A Christmas program with readings, carols, musical numbers and con- tests was enjoyed by all. Donations were given to the Christmas Bureau with a grocery item. Santa Claus arrived and gave out the secret sister gifts. There is meeting will be held in January. Anglican ladies serve dinner to Kairshea group The Kinloss Kairshea Institute members and guests enjoyed their Christmas dinner at the Anglican church hall last Thursday evening, with the Anglican ladies cater- ing. The group enjoyed a sing song led by June Gilchrist with Elsie Houston playing the piano. Alice Ritchie and Irene Haldenby acted out a skit "The Great Parking Space Race". They also distrib- uted gifts from the Christmas tree. Gerry VanderKtippc gave two of his humorous readings. Several games of euchre were played with Gerry and Betty Finlayson the high winners and June and Elizabeth Dickie the low players.
