by Laura Lee Caytey
Forty-five UCW and
YWCA members gathered
for the Christmas annual
meeting. They brought
articles for the Huron
County Christmas Bureau.
The theme of the
Advent service was "Get
Ready, Get Set."
Readings, scriptures, and
prayers on preparation of
prayer, priority, people,
preservation, physical, and
personal were read by
Lois Walden, Mary Lou
Irwin, Alleve Bradley,
Norma Weatherhead, and
Anne Anderson.
Interspersed in the wor-
ship was special music by
Melanie and Cindy
Willits, Sarah and Ruth
Ritchie, Lee. and Glenda
Morrison with solos and
duets on piano and voice.
After a break for tea
and cookies, the business
opened with the UC,W
Purpose. A very financial-
ly successful year led to
the decision to help with
renovations in the church
and manse. Further dona-
tions will be given to
recent requests.
The Unit, YWCA and
committee reports were
given. Recognition was
given to the work done by
the new Nimble Fingers
group and special thanks
to those decorating the
church for special occa-
sions.

Holiday Photo Tip
Don't Hold Your
Breath ---If you're the des-
ignated photographer and
are taking a posed photo-
graph, don't hold your
breath as you take the
shot. Inhale as you com-
pose the shot through the
viewfinder, then exhale
gently as you press the
'shutter. This simple tip
will help you keep the
camera steady, and depress
the shutter with a smooth,
even movement.
