Inner4 Lucltnow Sentinel, Wednesday, November 20, 1996 - Page 7 Program is a teaching tool for food banks An Agincourt organization is launching an ,Alternatives Dissemination Program which suggests ways clients can stretch their food dollar and avoid reliance on emergency food banks. The community- based multi -service agency has been serving the area of Agincourt for 26 years. Funds from the Trillium Foundation have made it possible for the Agincourt Community Services Association (ACSA) to inform as many groups as possible in Ontario about the program. Free training is offered to groups who would like to star their own Alternatives Program. Groups can request presentations at their sites, inquire about ACSA's implementation workshop, or spend time with the alternatives program coordinator to observe its implementation and ask questions. For more information call Jane or Fahima at 416- 321-6912. Target groups are Ontario Food Banks, faith communities, schools, public health depart- ments, or any agency concerned with food programs.
