for the Remembrance
Day Service held in the
Lucknow United Church
on Nov. 11 was taken by
Rev. Robert Johnstone of
the Cenotaph in
Lucknow, Ontario. This
bulletin was printed by
the United Church of
Canada and was used at
Remembrance Services
both Sunday and
Monday right across
Canada.

Rev. Bresnahan also
had the privilege of
speaking to the student
body at F.E. Madill
Secondary School at their
assembly on Friday after-
noon.

Girls win soccer
tournament

All right! We won!
The Grade 6, 7 and 8
girls won the soccer tour-
nament in Wingham on
Oct. 28.
Our first game was
against Sacred Heart of
Wingham. We didn't
score any goals during
the game, so we had a
shoot-out and we won 3-
2. Julie Stam, Becky
Stam, and Ashley Numan
scored the goals.
Our second game was
even better becausdwe
won 2-0 against
Kingsbridge. Jennelle
Stam and Julie Stam
scored the goals.
The boys didn't do as
well!! In their first game
they also had a shoot-out,
but lost to Sacred Heart
of Wingham. In their sec-
ond game, they lost 3-0
against "St. Mary's of
Goderich, but they still
had fun.
In Mrs. Vanderlei's
class, the Grade 3s, are
making the finishing
touches on their leaf pro-
jects. Grades 4 and 5 are
learning about Balboa'
and Magellan. All the
students listened to

Symphony" as they
learned about classical
music.
In art, Mrs: Bakker's
Grade 1 and 2s are mak-
ing leaf patterns. They
are also discussing harm-
ful plants such as poison
ivy. They are also start-
ing an animal unit.
In Madame Mettr's
class, the Grade 3s are
working on ,paper dolls
and their clothing vocab-
ulary in French. Grade 2s
are making cards with
different buildings on
them and their French
meanings on the. back.
Grade 1 is learning about
fruits and vegetables in
French.
In Mrs. Swain's class
they have done an amaz=
ing job on their
Remembrance Day
posters for the Legion
contest. They also
learned that there is hair
inside your head in sci-
ence.
