Discussion followed on the McInnes and Sullivan family histories. Congratulations to Allan and Beryl MacDonald who cele- brated their 40th wedding anniversary with f4 ily and friends at The Candlelight inn on Oct. 27. ;Sincere sympathy to Irene Dalton and mem- bers of the Dalton fami- lies on the death of Irene's grandson Christopher David Dalton, 27 year old son of Maurice and Dianne Dalton, of Port Elgin. Christopher was killed in Pennsylvania as the result of a car accident. He worked as a welder. Several from this area attended visitation and funeral in Port Elgin. Congratulations to Cyril and Mary Boyle on the arrival of their grand- son Connor Joseph Reinman born to their daughter Marie and Tim Reinman of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan on Oct. 24, weighing 8 lbs., 15 oz� The County Ramblers played for the Old Tyme Dance at the Senior Centre last Friday. Get well wishes were sent to Marg Harkness, pianist, who fell and broke her hip. Ethel Adams of Wirigham filled in. A three-week northern Ontario autumn color tour was enjoyed by Ann and Gilbert Millar and her sister Maisie and Ian Taylor from Scotland. Rev. Alex McGilvery was in charge of Worship Service at Dungannon United Church on Sunday, November 3. Text of the Sunday School Pupils, was the Great Banquet, found in the book of Luke. To summarize their lesson, the congregation was invited to the Feast. A song and dance routine preceded the serving of a cold drink and cookie. A large crowd enjoyed the roast beef dinner served by the board of stewards in the evening. Val Wood has been appointed as secretary for the Dungannon Union Pastoral Charge. Visiting Mary and Phil Garriock on Sunday were her parents Bruce and Irene Fisher and sister-in- law Linda from Camlachie. They, along with eight of their grandchildren were a great boost to the attendance at the beef supper. Two of the grand- children played ringette with a team from Forest against Goderich on Sunday afternoon. Bridgs mark 50th a Congratulations from all the Grove folks to Viola and Eugene Bridge on the celebration of their 50th anniversary. A good number from the Grove attended their came and go tea in Kincardine on Saturday. Two other milestones were marked on the. weekend - an 80th birth- day celebration was held for Jim Boyle at Whitechurch. Attending were his brother Francis and Irene, as well as Heather and Gabrielle Finnie; Marjorie Armstrong and Edna Fowler, his sisters. Shirley and Doug MacDonald were please to attend Bob Campbell's 80th birthday celebration in Lucknow ori Sunday. A little bird also told me that Dan MacDonald is celebrating a birthday this week. Congratulations to all of you. Everyone we have talked to said that the Halloween party at the Community Centre on Thursday night was very successful. The children enjoyed the games, story, costume parade and treats. • iverSary Purple Grove Heather and Sam Finnie attended a real estate course in Toronto ,the first three days of last week. Sheila Hubbard of Agincourt and Pat Edwards of Calgary visit- ed with their Patterson connection - Kay Collins, Sandra McGillivray, Ruthe and Gordon Patterson at noon on Tuesday. We are all pleased to hear that Margaret Harkness and Nina MacDonald are home from the hospital. Hope they are soon just tick- etyboo. Fran and Jim Farrell and family enjoyed a visit with Joyce and John Farrell and family of Wingham on Sunday. Anne McCosh and Mary Anne Kukoly visit- ed with June and Earl Elliott one evening. Visiting with Anne dur- ing the week were Largaret MacInnes and Nancy King of Teeswater and Grant Clifford.
