Elizabeth Dickie, the
Education Convener,
gave some interesting
thoughts from the topic
gisen by Heather Jane
Robertson, co-author of
the book Class Warfare: -
"The Assault on
Canada's Schools." She
spoke recently to a
packed hall of ; uron
County teachers at
Seaforth Community
Centre,
She took them on an
Educational trip across
Canada to examine what
the different school
boards and governments
are doing. One example
is in Nova Scotia and
New Brunswick where
they announced that no
more new schools will be
built with public money,
only private money.
Nova Scotia abolished
school boards six months
ago. The governments
are ending the democrat-
ic process of the schools.
