and page program
Recruiting for the national 1997 guide and paha-
inentary page program is now underway.
Young Canadians from various academic and lin-
guistic backgrounds explain the history and activi-
ties of Canada's Parliament and the significance of
the art and architecture of the buildings to thousands
of visitors each year.
Pages play a key rolein the communication net-
work on Parliament Hill, delivering important mes-
sages and research papers to members, linking
members to their hill offices and serving House
officials in various capacities
Selection committees will travel to regions out•
the national capital to interview candidates and
the successful candidates' transportation costs to
and from Ottawa for their term of employment will
be paid.
Full details are available in kits at all high
• schools and employment centres on campus, •or at
MPs' offices., .•
Deadlines are Nov, 12 for the guide proram and
