Ashfle.Id denies
appeal on
drain assessnlent
The Court of.Revision for the Brown/Millian
Drainage Works in Ashfield. Township has denied
Allan Brown's appeal regarding an 'excessive assess-
ment. The decision was handed down at the Aug. 8
meeting.
Brown was advised that he. was not eligible to
appeal his •assessment to the Court of Revision as he
had not submitted written appeal to the first sitting of
the Court of revision and his assessment was unaf-
fected by the revisions made resulting from the
Millian appeal. Brown was• advised of his right to
appeal to the Ontario Drainage Tribunal.
The Court confirmed the Millian appeal and the
appropriate adjustments were made.

Hospital board
Helen Rintoul; Ashfield's representative on the
Wingharn and District Hospital board, attended coun-
cils Aug. 8 meeting to discuss the board'splans to

Rintoul relayed the board's request to have at least
one•representative from each municipality to act: as a
member of the fund-raising cornmittee; .
