On Wednesday, May 8
the Grade 8 students
went on a trip to the
Brock University science
camp. Over three days
they went to six modules
based on science and
math.
On the first n'ght there
was a dance where every-
one got acquainted. The
second night everyone
went to the Brock pool.
Thursday afternoon there
were Goofy Olympics
and a cheer competition.
It was lots of fun, and
all the cheers Were good,'
(Royal Blue .won the
cheer competion and
Navy got the most points
at! the Olympics),
During the closing cer-
emonies they found out
that the Navy team had,
eet Thursd
the most points and the
Red team came in at a
clo ,e second.
Be sure to wear a hat
and slop on lots of sun-
screen,because those blue
bulldogs are ready to run.
On May 23rd

field events (the rain da.
.is the 24th).The first and
second place winnerswill
then attend the regionals
at Goderich GI)CI. hhach

he assigned a teacher. •
• As you walk down
Brookside's primary hall
you will notice the inva-
sion of whales by Miss
Robert's' Grade I. and
Mr.Grail's Grade 3 and 4.
Grade 1 has created an
orca whale which is four
.metres long and about
one metre high. They
hung the, orca up above
their door to remind them
of the movie "Free
Willy". Mr. Grail's Grade
3 and 4 have adopted a
right whale named
Calvin. The students
drew pictures of Calvin
and wrote what they
liked most about him to
display out in the hall.
They adopted Calvin
March 31st. He is an
orphan whose mother
died by getting hit in the
hack by propellers.
