The Lucknow and District Chamber
of Commerce is organizing a town -
wide garage sale for Saturday, May 25,
in conjunction with its "Western Days"
events.
This is a great opportunity to get rid
of those items yen haven't used for
years - those ones cluttering your aitik
or basement,
The event will be advertised in the
Lucknow Sentinel as well as other
couunimity newspaper's to attract many
bargain hunters from the surrounding.
Registration for the town -wide..
garage sale is at Margie's Speciality
Shoppe on main street, in Lucknow, or
by calling 5283429 ,.The fee is $5
which helps offset the cost of advertis-
ing .And also puts the registrant's
address: on a town map ,which will be
distributed from the tourism officeand
other locations throughout the:town.
This will help the bargain hunters find
ors
your sate.
For those who don't have a lawn o i•
are from out of town and yet wish to
participates, designated areas have°been
arranged for yott w set up your sale.
Just phone 528-3429.
Registration deadline is May 17 to,
allow time to print and distribute the
map.
The sale starts at 8 a.m. and ends
whenever you decide .it's over.
Here are a few tips to help you make
the most of your garage sale:
1. ;post asign on your property stating
"GARAGE SALE"` in a place: where it
will be seen by passers by. R n
2. Make sure your items are clean as
they will sell quicker.
3. Arrange your merchandise, so all of it
can be seen and easily accessed.
