MeNee ended the 16 game regular schedule with 44 points on 39 goals and five assists. In exhibition play on Saturday, the Atom B-2 team trav- elled to Goderich with a Novice A Hamilton connection helping out. It was a fast -paced game - more like Pee Wee action with a lot of body contact and pew Adam Martin played a stror n net holding the score to three all tie. McNee scored two and Shea Dickie picked up a single. -The Hamiltons •- Cody, Cory and Shea picked up an assist each, Atom B = Ice Warriors The Warriors downed Howick 4 to 3 in, their last game of the regular season. Strong defensive plays by Jesse Cox, Kevin DeBruyn, Matthew Pritchard and Danny MacDonald added. with the quick glove of Billy Johnston kept the visitors on their toes. Goals were off the sticks of David Cameron and Jesse Johnston, who claimed a hat trick. Assisting were Pritchard, Graham Cook, Derek Quinlan, Luke Van Osoli (2), and Cameron. Bantam B Outstanding defence kept the shots to 26 against Lucknow, when they travelled to Palmerston to play Minto on Feb. 8. Lucknow doubled up onthe host team 6 to 3. Goals were by Dale Courtney and Nathan Knorr with , two each, while Jeff Andrew and John Van Diepenbeek picked up singles. Assists were recorded by Cam Moffat (2), Van Diepenbeek, Troy McKenzie, Mike Wyndham, Courtney and Andrew.di . Lucknow showed their superior skills in passing and set- ting up plays with 48 shots on Ripley's goalie when they two teams met 'on Feb. 10. However the formidable host .41 goalie kept the game to 5 to 1 for Lucknow. Scoring were Conor' McDonagh (2), Dale Courtney, John Van Diepenbeek, and Jeff Havens, Setting up the plays were Courtney (2), Troy McKenzie (2), Nathan Knorr, Cam Moffat, Mike Wyndham, and Jeff Cranston. Lucknow hosted Durham in an exhibition game on Sunday to end the regular season. It was a close game, with Lucknow's captain, Conor McDonagh recording the only il goal of the game. The season stats stand at 17 wins, 12 losses and two ties. Tykes The first year Tyke players travelled to Ayton on the weekend for a tournament. The ice surface was divided in half with four teams play- ing every 45 minutes, The locals, played three strong games against Minto, Mount Forest Mighty Mites and Walkerton CMR. It was the best game the local squad has played all year. Goal tending was shared by all players. Each player received, a trophy and went home 'smiling. Participating were Sam Johnston, Hillary Johnston, Jessie Miller, Peter Van Osch, Marty Quinlan, Alex Van Osch, Brent Martin, Tom Van Osch, Kevin Cook, Tucker Dorscht, Kara Sloetjes, Ben Sloetjes, Sheila Kuik. and John Elphick. Tyke Leafs Last Saturday, a "modified" Tyke Leaf team participated int a junior tyke tourney in Ayton. Lucknow swamped Arthur in the first game using using strong offensive play and goalie Nash Aitchison stone- walled the opposition.. The final score was -6 to 4 for Lucknow with goals by Clint Hamilton (3), Chris Hogervorst, Chris Willits, and Jared Stapleton, who Were assisted by Cody Kemp, T.J. Irwin and Brent Alton: In grinetwo, a sharp Mount Forest goalie held Lucknow to a three all tie, with goals from Clint Hamilton (2), and Chris Hogervorst..Assists were by Jacob Bullock. Goalie Chris Willits showed how sharp his reflexes could be. Game three wis a close one with Walkerton taking the 2 to 1 victory, llogervorst stopped multiple shots. Clint Hamilton stored` Lucknow's Tone goal. All players received a commemorative trophy: Other players in the tourney were Cameron Alton, Derek Sanderson, and Bobby Finlay. pay Finlay, a pre -tyke, suit -- ea up with team mate Brent Alton to help out.
