Bantams win Howick tourney
Bantam A
The Bantam teamdowned a popular
rival ,in their first game of the Howick tour-
nament on Sunday.
Jonathan MacKinnon lead the 4 to 0 vic-
tory with two goals, while Ean Moffat and
Craig Moffat picked upsingles. Both
Moffats picked up ouble assists,
MacKinnon and Daryl Aitchison singles.
Play was evenly matched in game two
when Lucknow, came.up against Howick.;

Atom A
On Jan. 15, Lucknow travelled to
Drayton and skated away with a 5 to 0 win.
On Jan. 17, the teamvisited ripley and
came up short losing 3 to 1.
The team played in Kincardine on Jan
18 and once again got the offence on track
downing the host team 12 to 3.
Pacing the attack was Bob Raymona
with five goals and four. assists, Mark
Hackett with four goals and three assists,
Tyler Hamilton with two goals and Ricky
Andrew adding a single goal..
On Jan. 19, Wallace came to town and
handed Lucknow their first loss in the new
sports complex with a final Score of6 to 5.
Scoring for Lucknow, were Ricky
Andrew (2), Mark Hackett, Bob Raymond
and David Cameron.
The team wishes Nigel Black a speedy
recover from a knee injury so he can be
'back in the line-up before playoffs.
Lucknow faces Milverton in the first round.
Intermediate Girls
The Elma Logan . team proved to be the
' Intermediate girls best competition this sea-
son. The two teams played in the new
Sports Complex on Jan; 13 and Lucknow
was victorious with a 4 to 5 score.
The game was scoreless until midway
through the second period ' when the visiting
team took the lead.
I Sandra Alton tied it up for Lucknow with
her first of three goals. Lncknovv`s other
goal was off the stick of Darlene Aitchison.

• with Julie Nicholson and Mary Joan
Andrew picking up singles.
Bantam B
Nathan Ferguson was a roan on a mis-
sion scoring four of Lucknow's six goals
when the Bantam B team travelled to
Wingham on Jan. 21.
Other markers were from Nathan Knorr
and Jeff' Andrew, with assists going to
Andrew, Cam Moffat, .'Conor McDonagh
and Jeff Cranston.

Atom Bw2
It was a strong effort by the Atom B-2
team, but fell' a little short when Walkerton
defeated them 3 to 2 on Jan. 20. There was
good skating and shooting by all players.
Jeff McNee's two goals were assisted by
Ryan Rivett and Candice Hamilton.
The Atom B-2 team played '.a fast paced
game with some excellent saves by goalie
Adam Martin' to record a shutout in
Wingham on Jan.. 21.
The -team played a strong game with,
passing finally paying off, Jeff McNee had
some excellent shots to score the five goals
in two games. w
Assists in this game went to Candice
Hamilton, Josh Ackert, David Conley, Erin
Phillips, Ryan Rivett and Jessica Mann.
Novice A
Once again Lucknow came up against a
strong Ripley team and came away with a 3
to 1 win:' James Mann and Joe Murray
picked upthree points each, and Cory
Hamilton a single. •
The Lucknow Novice A team played like
a well-oiled machine on Saturday morning
in Drayton, with goalie Michael Wilson
,making some key saves. Cory' Hamilton
scored the winning goal with five seconds,
left in play. . , The other goals were from James Mann
and Luke Drennan, with Drennan, Cal
McDonagh, .Joe Murray, Hamilton, Kyle
Dorscht and Daniel Drennan credited with
assists.
Great defence was exhibited as Lucknow
won the game 3 to 2, and took no penalties.
