Good meetings are a combi- rtation of a good agenda good attendance and good participation. Whether it is an annual. or an educational meeting, thegoal.of the meeting is to share valuable information with et:mincers. Meetings do not just hap- pen. They take considerable time to arrange facilities, Speakers and sponsorship. Consider taking in some of the following meetings that have been planned for you. One of the more successful ways• to learn about futures markets is a Commodity marketing Club, • • Two such clubs are already in existence within the County, Another club is being started; A four day course is pro- posed to give members a .basic understandin` g of com- modity marketing. Topics of discussion include Past History, Terminology of Commodity 4,i4. Trading, Selecting a Broker, Understanding. the Basis, Forward Contracting, Elevator contracts, Cost of Production, Option Trading, Understanding the DTN, Technical Trading and FundamentarTrading. Part of the program includes:a trip to Chicago to see the Chicago Board of trade and the Mercantile Exchange. A seminar will be included in Chicago fea turing , a floor trader, floor runners, clerks and a com- modity trader. Dates and the cost far the trip are to be determined. .
