annual Christmas Dinner at 12:30
P.a. at the Seniors Hall on Mon-
day. Decembo 17th. President Jean
Phillipe welcomed everyone and
called on Reverend Gaol' Bogartto
offer the blessing. Over one
hundred people served themselves
from the beautifully prepared buffet
table.
While everyone sat and enjoyed
their second- cup of coffee, a
reading entitled Chrisunits Is was
given by Margaret Ellington.
Louise Brindley gave two short
seasonal readings and then related
Iwo humorous 'anecdotes. A Carol
Sing followed under the direction of
Elliott Lapp, and was accompanied
by EdStiles. To conclude the Carol
Sing, Elliott Lapp favoured us with
a beautiful solo, 0 Little Town of
'Bethlehem. Another humorous story
was read, by Harvey Culbert.
The guest entertainer was
introduced and welcomed, by Mar-
garet Errington. Mr. Pat King, of
Goderich, complete with straw hat,
performed a number of old time
English tones, which 'dated back to
wardmes and pre-war era.
11 was truly a performance that set
many Wes a tapping and brought
memories flooding back for those in
attendance.
We'd like to extend birthday
wishes to those celebrating in the
month of December. December 4th

Marjorie Armstrong. To anyone

Following the dinner, a ntImberof
immediate neighbonrs gathered at
the home of Margaret Errington to
honour Lee:Sheller who recently
left the village to make her home m
Goderich. She was presented with a
cassette tape and a gift certificate.
The Seniors held their final
Euchre Party for 1990 on Wednes-
day December 19th. Thirteen tables
saw action. High Lady ' for . the
evening was Mabel Lamont with
low lady being Dorothy Coyler.
High gentleman for the evening was
Tom Culbert with low man being
Clarence Allin.
Social News
Anna Kraul of Forest, Ontario,
formerly of Ashfield Township
called on Belle Mole and Frank
Pentland recently.
