CHESLEY-.The Bruce Board
of Educadon got official word
on two grant programs Tuesday,
Dec. 18. One will provide
$14,555 for drug education
seminars for teachers.
The other is for new equipment
for technical shop Programs at
Walkerton and Kincardine secon-
dary schools. Kincardinewillget
$48,300 a year for the next three
years, while Walkerton will get
$72,800 in each of the next tine
years,
Trustee Craig Otto says the

computer assisted equipment the
schools need as they develop
technical programs that provide
the integrated skills now
demanded in the workplace.
VOLLEYBALL TEAM
GETS RECOGNITION
The Chesley District High
School senior boys volleyball
team was given special recog-
nidon by the' Bruce County
Board of Education for their
recent Win1 of the gold medal at
the all -Ontario meet in Peter-
borough.
Coach Ross King described a
"classic match" with a Sudbury
team in the fmal round. The two
hour match was distinguished by
a sweating gym, "very bad"
playing conditions, and a two
point score board.
"You have no idea how hard
they worked," King said of the
team. "They deserve the medals
they got."
