Inglis said unfinished business
with the provincial government was
part of his reason for wanting a
second term as chairman.
Earlier this ° year, the board

minister Scan Conway on education
and funding issues. Inglis admits
the "players have changed" at
Queen's Park since then, but adds
"we were promised a reply and we
do hope to get one from this
averment."
In his inaugural address to the
trustees and media, Inglis red -
fumed fiscal restraint and com-
munication as his major goals for
1991.
"The foremost job for a trustee is
to spend education dollars %vilely,
he said.
To that end, the board began a
line -by-line review of the budget in
October, and is "keeping it,sfingers
crossed" that it will get funding for
some of theprojects on the recently
compiled five-year plan for capital.

going vice-ehairman Gerald Hatt.
Hatt served one • term in the
position, but said law he did not
want to return to the post or seek
the chailman's job "for personal
