To the editor:
Well, Halloween is over for
another year. I'm glad about that.
You see, I don't like Halloween. I
believe it is very dangerous for our
children. I think that the evening `
that was put on by the. Kinettes and
Kinsmen should have been suf-
-8cient for the children. That to me
is a better idea than knocking on
doors.
Halloween is just a night for
vandalism. While I was watching
my -children very carefully, I saw a
boy throw a stone through
someone's window because they
were not horse. Yes, I believe the
window was broken. There is also
a little building at the corner by the
river, down the street from us. It
was vandalized by spray paint.
I know that the police can't be
everywhere at once. So I think that
it is about time that Halloween
should be abolished. Let the parents
have their own private party for
their kids. •or another organized
party at the Community Centre, but
not door to door.
Children have been known to bite
into applies with needles or pins or
razor blades in them. I ant not
taking this chance with my children
anymore. I will see that they have a
party of some kind That they are
still able to dress up in a costume.
But, DOOR TO DOOR, no morel
Parents, if we get together, we
can make it world Think about their
safety. Why should our kids suffer
for someone elses sick mind?

A very concerned parent.

the confusion that may, occur in the

, charge it at the cash register, Mrs.
