46. In Memoriam
KEMP
In loving memory of a dear brother
and uncle, Glen who passed away
suddenly three years ago, October,
21, 1987.
Dear Lord, please take a message
to our brother up above,
Tell Glen bow much we miss him
and give him 'all our love,
We do not need• a special day, to
bring him to our minds,
The days we do not think of bii s
are very hard to find.
If all the world were ours to give,
we would give it, yes and more,
To see your happy face come smil-
ing
miling through the door.
You did not say, goodbye to us,
perhaps it's just as well,
For we never could have said good-
bye to a brother we loved so' well.
Lovingly remembered and sadly
missed by Gord, Brenda, Devin and
Cody. -43

My sincere thanks to all who at-
tended the Tea held for me on Sun-
day. I am especially grateful to
all members 'of .Lucknow Guiding,
the Sparks, the Brownies, Guides,
Pathfinders, Rangers and Guiders
who 'helped with the Tea in any
way. I appreciated your presence
and good wishes. You made this a
very special day for me, one which
I will always remember. It is
rewarding to me to see Guiding is
still very active in Lucknow. This
community has been very fortunate
to have dedicated Guiders over the
years and I know that with the con-
tinuation of this good leadership
that the girls of Lucknow and area
will have the opportunity to be a
part of Guiding" for many years to
come. Bev Thompson. -43a

At . this time Nina McDonald
introduced the guest speaker, Jean
Atwell who gave a most inspiring =;
talk on Christian living beginning
with prayer. First, we need a secret,
place to pray and how we have to
wait for God alone. He is con-
cerned for us, so we must live as :
children of God and ;pray. that God
will answer, for He knows what we
need. We have to have faith which
becomes stronger and from the
Lord's prayer, bread for the body '.
and forgiveness for us. Ask, believe
and accept and praise Him for what
we have received. She also spoke
of God's healing power with prayer
and laying on of hands.
Marilyn Reid thanked Jean for her
splendid address and presented her
with a gift.
Isabel Thompson gave a reading.

andErlma Haldenby, Betty Bushell,

Creation, At they feet Of God, 'O
God of Heaven and Earth and Sea

prayer.

ing the singing. They also sang
happy birthday to Chester

on by Marg Brooks who congratu-
lated Bette MacLeod, Dorothy and
Russell Brooks and Lizzie Geddes

ings in these countries.
