The UCW Met on Tuesday -Oc-
tober 16 in the Dungannon United
Church. Guestswere in attendance.

Helen Dawson read the scripture
and led in prayer. Two hymns were
sung with .accompaniment at the-
piano

speaker, Reverend `'Orilla Bogart

a modern parable called The Pill
Box Man." The. ladies divided into
discussion groups to decide on the
meaning of this parable.
Donna Sue Robson, 'owner, and
operator of Valley Green Flowers in
Lucknow displayed a beautiful
floral mantle arrangement which
she had made and showed various
color combinations to meet popular
decor trends, She created a stunning
Christmas wreath, made on a grape
vine, base and decorated with fresh ,
greenery gathered from the bush
and dried materials. Tips on how to
care for fresh cut flowers' were well :.
received by the ladies and materials
that are now available to home
crafters were displayed. Donna
Young of Dungannon was the lucky
recipient of the wreath following
the detnonsttation.
Willetta McWhinney thanked both
of the special guests and :presented
them each with a token of ap-
preciation for their contribution to;
the evening. The meeting was
closed with prayer.
A delicious lunch followed, with
Donna Young and Margaret Er-
rington as convenors.
Entertainment series is
coming to 'Wingham this fall..::
W.A.C.A.C. (a subcommittee of
Wingham's Recreation Department)
along with CKNX and the Western
Foundry are very pleased to an-
nounce Wingham's first Entertain-
ment Series. This series begins with
the .very popular comedy plays of
The Second City Touring Company,
playing November 14 at 8 p.m., at
the. Wingham Town. Hall
auditorium.
The second show is the Toronto
based jazz violinist Lenny Solomon,
with his dynamic trio performing
January 26, at 8 p.m.
The grand finale is the well-
known music drama A Night at. the
Grand, set entirely around a full
grind piano, playing April 2`1/. at 8
pm.
All shows will be held at the
Wingham Town Hall Auditorium.
The series tickets are being sold for
the lost cost of $35.00 for all three
shows. Tickets are available from
The wingham Library, Lewis
Flowers, Recreation Department,
Vances Drug Store and the Win-
gham Stationary Store.
