Society 'meeting on October 2 was
a MOO inspiring evening.. Pastor
Marvin allistensen. chaired the
meeting amt extended a welcome to

Kinlons United Church, where the
meeting was held, ,played the organ
for the hymn singing Ful Reg`and
Thelma Powell joined in with trum-
pet and piano for the sing along.

Five Star Quilters
make plans for show
Plans for the quilt show took top
priority when over 40 members of
the Five Star Quilters Guild met in
Lucknow Town Hall on Wednes-
day, September 26.
Barb deBoer first Vice President,
opened the meeting in absence of
Sharon Stein, who later arrived to
conduct the business of the nieetitig.
The quilt shovv is to be held m
Teeswater, October 19 and 20. The
publicity chairlady reported that the,
advertising is going well, with,
posters being put up in all the
towns in the area.
There is to be a mercbanta mall in
the complex where all kinds of
• quilting supplies will be available
for purchase. There is to be a
hospitality area where refreshments
will be available.

please contact any member of the
guild or bring it to the complex

A quilt made by the Guild was
won by Mary Nelson, in the draw,
at the Lucknow Craft Fair. Mem-
bers are selling tickets en a quilt to
be drawn at Teeswater Fair October
6. The lottery draw of quilt blocks
for September was won by Marion
,MacKinnon of Lucknow. The next ,
block lottery will be next month
with at 16 1/2" block of a leaf.
