Many visitors in Ripley during Fail Fair weekend

Church, Ripley, Everyone was
welcome with a good UMW, on
this first day of the Ripley Huron
fair.

party in the Ripley Legion Hall.
The occasion was their 45th wed-
ding anniversary. Members of their

There were six contestants entered
in the Queen of the Fair comped -
;on for Ripley. They were Julia
Froe e, Tatlhmy Rudder, Shea Van
den Hogan, Julie Johnson, and
IJP► Arrowsmith. The winner was
Tammy Rudder and she dropped in
to �tellq�meon Sunday evening -thee
first 'news u her good fortune,

Late on Saturday ottoman , Toni
and Betty Schmidt of lvliidniay-
Carrick Township called here on
their way to ,pick up her exhibits in
grain and vegetables. There were
10 grain sheaves at the Ripley fair.
3 barley, 2 oats, 4 wheat and one in
the 41:1 Mass, Betty had the overall
championship with her oat sheave. •
She also had the' second most poinfa
in the vegetables class. In addition
to this . fair work she is a Home
Care nurse in the Mildmay area.

the bride. Bridesmaids were

of the bride; Marian Snieder,"
Goderich, the bride'ssister and
Angie Gordon, of London, the
groom's sister. Best man was
Rich Gordon, of Kitchener,
brother of the groom. Ushers
were Mike Gordon of Kitchener,
brother of the groom, and
friends, Bob Graham of Goderich
and Kevin Webb of Clinton. A
reception was held at Saltford
Valley Hall. Nathalie and Greg
travelled to Northern Ontario for
their honeymoon and will reside
in Goderich on their return.

Dinner was served at Brookside
Public School, with the reception
held on the (lawn of Mr. and Mrs.
Irvin. The newlyweds
honeymooned in Finger Lakes,
New York and are residing in
