COngiatulations to Don Ahrens of
Elmwood the 1990 Forage Master
for Bruce County. Runners-up are
Ken Walter of Mildmay and Ed
Wachter of Walkerten. Don will
be competing for the tide of Provin- -
mai Forage Mastes at the Royal
Winter Fair in November.,
The Forage Masters Competition
is co-sponsored by the Ontario Soil
andcrop Improvement Association,
Inc. and DeKalb to promote
excellence. Local competitors were
judged on aponomic knowledge,
appearance of hay field, appearance
and quality of stored feed and
Protein analysis., The provincial
competition will focus on the par-
ticipant's knowledge of forages, and
ability as a spokesman for forage
