The Litcknow Women's Institute
held their . monthly meeting on
September 11. Stella Tilbrook, Kay
McIntosh and Margaret McNay
were in charge of the program.
Dessert was served at 1:15 p.m.
followed by the program.
President Dorothy Brown opened
the meeting with a fall poem, fol-
lowed by the Opening Ode and the
Mary Stewart Collect. The rollcall

An invitation was received fro the
St; Helen's Institute for October 1.
Bernice Johnstone was appointed as
delegate' to the Bruce Grey Area
Convention to be held in Lucknow,
October 4.

ladies. Mabel Whitby read a poem,
The Flour Sack. This brought back
memories of all the uses of the
flour sack.
Kay McIntosh read an article of
Organic Foods and a reading, How
I know I am a senior citizen.
Mrs. Tilbrook gave a reading
pertaining to the motto, waste not
want not The article was recycling
old values for new such as using
msterial . for mats, clothes, quilts,
coats, that had been used previous-
ly.
