help raising funds for bali diamond

is in bad need of repairs and

The approximate cost fur the neces-
sary work will be $32,000.00.
Application for a grant which
would cover one :third of the cost
has been made. The township of
Ashfield and West Wawanosh have
agreed to share another third of the
expense and the Dungannon
Agricultural Society will be respon-
sible' for the last on a third of the
cost,.)
Having the ball diamond located
on its property is of absolutely rtgr:
advantage to the Dungannon
,Agricultural Society. However,
since the organization does not
want the community to lose the.
facility, it decided to attempt. to
raise the required money through a
Lottery which is now progress
under licence No. 51, .d.. Tickets
are $10.00 each, with a chance at
four $10000 prizes each month
with the last draw our May 27,
1991. At that time. an additional
grand prize draw will be made for

The July 24 winners were: Jim

The Au 27 winners were: Sue

At this time, there are still 37
chances at $4600.00 in prize money
and the good news is that there are
still tickets available.

Twelve tables of eager card
players participated in the weekly
euchre party held on Wednesday,
September 12 at the Senior Citizens

on Sunday, September 16 under the
direction of Reverend Garth Bogart.
The sermon theme was, "It's hard
to forgive". The Sunday School.
lesson was on the theme of the Ten
Commandments.
Nile Anniversary"Service will be
held on Sunday, September 23 at
11 a.m. with George Cowan as
guest speaker and Debbie Culbert
as soloist. Our other three churches
will be closed for that Sunday so

groups are starting up again.. The
first meeting will be Wednesday,
September 26 from 7 to 8:15 p.m.

YOUTH DARTS
One evening a chosen few tourists
were invited to dine at one of the
houses that catered to serve typical
Amish dinners. As you can see. the
Amish people and their different
customs were ,much more interes-
ting to the Pickett family than the
chocolate factory they originally
went to see.
Olive thanked her guests for our
armchair trip through Pennsylvania. •
