The Museum's work with Bruce County school teachers began in 1967 when the two groups got together and moved the log school house from .its. original site on Lot 10 Concessions 9 in Amabel Township to the front of the. Museum where it sits today. The log school house was constructed in 1875 from wood .felled to clear the lot. The desks, benches and shelves were made by the local people for .. the school house.
