1970. He was in his 69th year and
was the' youngest son of the late
James Struthers and Annie Walker
who : formerly lived in the
Paramount area. His brother Wil-

Centre. Ray Cranston and Stacey
Bell were masters of Ceremonies.
The couple, honeymooned'' in
Jamaica and now reside in LuCk-
now.

The home of Dr.. John "Tim"
Lumsden and Marilyn Lumsden
of Moffat, Ontariowas the setting
for the garden viedding.of their
daughter. Leslie, to Barton Irwin,
the son of Elwood and Joan Irwin
of Guelph (formerly of Lucknow
and Wingham). kivaldi's "Four
Seasons" played as guests
gathered on the lawns, and the
immediate members of the
Lumsden family proceeded to the
altar m therock garden. The.
groom and, his, sister Marilyn -Y
sang "Today" , accompanied by
Cynthia Popkey, cousin- of the
bride. The bride, oscolrted,byter
father entered to the music of
Louis' "P'Armstrong's' 'Kt's a
Wonderful World." The bride's
gown was a ballerina -length gown
of "ashes of roses" silk . trimmed
with lace. It featured a sweetheart
neckline, hillelbow length sleeves
and a gathered skirt on a fitted
bodice,- Shewore a diamond pen-
dant belonging to her great aunt
and her wedding band was an
heirlooni from her maternal great
Mary MacDonald welcomed
everyone and dinner was served by
the Legion Ladies' Auxiliary.

the University of Western On-

thur Voaden Secondary School in
Thomas.

The couple .spent a week-long
honeymoon inNashville, Tennesse
and will . reside in Lutknow.
