The weekly .card party was held
on Wednesday, August 1, with 11
tables participating. High lady for
the evening was Ila Pollock with
low lady beipg Margaret Young.
High gentleman for the evening was
Harvey Richardson and low white
card was Rene Shorey.
Church, News
Dungannon and Donneybrook
United Churches will be closed for
the month of August. Services will
be conducted by Reverend Garth
and Orilla Bogart at Trinity United
Church at 9:45 am. and Nile
United Church at 11:15 a.m.
A special congregatlonat meeting
for Trinity United Church has been
slated for Tuesday, August 21, at
8:30 p.m. and will be held at the
Church. This meeting is being held
to discuss future plans for the
Trinity manse,

chartered a bus on Monday, July 30
and travelled to Canada's Wonder
land for the day. Even though. rain '
appears ori the scene the young
people didn't let it spoil their day
as they saw some shows and
thrilled to the rides on the Midway.

The Dungannon Blues softball
team played a home game this past
week against Kingsbridge, The
Blues were victorious, 'defeating
Kingsbridge 13.8. The ..cams were
Julie' Pentland,' is the 18 -year-old
of Nellie. Pentland and ithe late
Larry Pentland. She is sponsored
by West Wawanosh Insurance,
Julie is working for the summer
at Big V and a dentist's office
and hopes in ,the future to be a
dental assistant.

Fourteen year old Tom Morrison of R. 1, Holyrood will be one of
the youngest riders coanpetiag in the Canadian Amateur National
Motocross race this weekend, in Chatsworth. Tom will be com-
peting in the Novice B division on his 1990 Kawasaki 125. Go get
'em Tom!
