Allan and Evylene MacTavish,
Rod and Audrey MacDonald have
recently returned -from spending two
weeks in Scotland. While there they
spent .one week on tour on the
islands of Lewis, Harris, north and
south dist and Barra of the Outer
Herbrides. One week was spent on
the mainland of Scotlaind visiting
pointsof interest there.
They were fortunate to be able to
spend time with Willy McLean of
Shadir of the lase of Lewis and
spoke to Bill Lawson of Harris.-

Centre news
There were six tables of shoot
played at the last •get together at :the
Drop in Centre. High lady was
Dorothy Anderson, low lady Mrs.
Bill Stanley, high man, Cliff
Menary and low man Howard
McCallum. Ruth Conley captured
the most shoots.
Winners in the bridge game were
Tillie Wilson high, Ann Shiells
second high, and Muriel Moffat
won the draw.

We will be holding a
demonstration of mulch tillage and
no -till equipment on Thursday,
August 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. This
will be held four miles south and
two miles west of Ripley in Huron
Township.
This will be an excellent chance
to compare different types of equip-
ment in operation in the field. At
the same time, we will be planting
a winter canola plot to compare the
different tillage systems.
Huron -Bruce
Conservation Club
Our next meeting will deal with
no -till drill set-up for winter wheat.
It will take place on Thursday,
August 16 at 7 p.m., in the same
location as the Conservation Tillage
Demonstration (four miles south
and two miles west of Ripley). For

Lamb Barbecue
The annual lamb barbecue will be
held on August 12 at the Hanover
Riverside Park. Approximately 200
servings of Ontario Lamb will be
consumed along with in -season
vegetables and local baked potatoes.
$8.00 per adult and children under
12 are $3.50. Everyone is welcome
