There was something for everyone at the Lueknow and District Kinsmen's first Parm Show held last weekend.
There were big "toys" and little toys. The Schultz Bros. of R. 3, Blyth had a 28 feet, four tier display of half
of their model tractor collection. Don (left). and Cliff have been collecting for about six years now, obtaining
their replicas from toy shows, catalogues and trading. They attend about 10 shows a year and store their col-
lection in a special heated unit. (Pat Livingston photo)

Mr. Peter Macintosh fatally hurt
at haying - The most shocking ac-
cident we have been called upon to
report for some time occurred on
the farm of Mr. Peter Macintosh,
3rd concession of Kinloss, on Satur-
day afternoon of last week. Mr.
Macintosh was engaged in hauling
in hay and was on the load handl-
ing the unloading fork. It would ap-
pear that the horses started a little
sooner than he expected, and that
they hay in lifting threw him
backwards to the floor of the barn.
He alighted on his head and
shoulder receiving injuries which
caused his death at five o'clock
Sunday afternoon.
Dungannon - D. Case is driving
a new five -passenger Ford Car
these days.
Mr. Walter Bishop, manager of
the Sterling Bank, has been
transferred from Dungannon to
Richmond Hill: Mr. Brooks is his
successor.

Consider swimming pool patrol -
At a Clansmen meeting on Tuesday
night it was brought out that some
lads by their actions, have become
a nuisance at the swimming pool
and that those who continue to
abuse the privileges of the pod will
be dealt with severely. One in-
stance of misbehaviour was the
stoning the electric light bulbs
recently of ein

The Clansmen considered a
patrol of the pool and• delegated the
committee to interview the Trail
Rangers, regarding . this group
supervising activities at the pool
and to report any misbehaviour
beyond their control.

floor by Jack Leith senior while he
was digging a hole for a furnace in
the early 1930's. His son, Jack
Leith, junior, of Florida, acting on
behalf of his father who died in
1974 has returned the clock to the
village. Mr. Leith senior had hoped
some village organization would
support a project to have a replica
built of a 19th century cock cabinet
to house the clock face. Mr. Joynt
said a cabinet will be made for the
clock so it will once again stand in
the council chambers as the
village's official timepiece.
Orislsal village timepiece returns
to town hall - The braes clock face
belonging to the original council
chamber clock, when the Lucknow
Town Hall was located at the cor-
ner of Canipbell and Havelock
Streets, now the HP service station
has been returned to the town hall.
The remnants of the original clock
were discovered tinder the garage
YOUR WORST ENEMY
Often assures you that he is your
best friend.
- Sometimes appears in a very
desirable disguise.
- Is not always the one who seems
most vicious.
- Is sometimes received most cor-
dially
oydially into your confidence.
- Is seldom the one against whom
you are most on guard.
