held their meeting in the hall on
July 5 beginning with a
smorgasbord noon meal. There
were 12 ladies. present.
The President. Lorraine MacPher-
son welcomed `everyone. Grace was
sung and all . enjoyed a delicious
dinner together: •
This was followed by the
meeting. The , secretary Bessie
Mauldin read the minutes of the
previous meeting and . the tor,
respondence. In 'place of the August
meeting the members and friends -
'go to the Blyth Theatre. The
treasurer, Betty Smith got the
names and collected the fees and
gave them their tickets.
The Directors Betty Smith and
Charlene McEwans began the pro-
gram with two readings by Betty
"Thea is sunshine in a anile" and
"Birth Month flowers', also a joke.

Kinloss council reduces
assessment on properties
Kinloss .council met for its
regular session on July 3 at which
time, tenders for the purchase of
township property known as conces-
sion .1, lot 18, plan 184, being one-
quarter acre were opened. No
tenders were accepted due to the
inadequate amounts.. tendered.
B.M. Boss and Associates will be
advised'to delete from the contract
the provisional item of the road
construction for the Washington
Street reconstruction.
Building permit applications were
approved for David Eadie for an
addition and Twin Towers Hogs for
an office.

beats Blyth 3 - 0
On Monday, July 2 the Lucknow
Atoms soccer team took on the.
Blyth Atoms, at the East
'Wawanoeh Public ;School and came
out • oni the winning end of a 3 - 0
score.
• San Moffat scored two goals and
Josh McQuillan scored the tturd
goal. The coaches agreed that it
was a fine team effort with 15
players participating on'the Coed
