To the Editor,
Good news! At long last the
Public Access Card catalog on
computer has arrived at Lucknow
Branch Library. Your readers will
remember that the Library Fund
raised last winter the $1500.00
necessary to pay half the cost. We
raised it due to the generosity of
local residents, merchants and
service clubs. But when the pro-
vincial government did not con-
tinue the matching grant program
for 1990 other sources of funds
had to be found. After some con-
sideration the Bruce County
Public Library Board decided to
use surplus funds held with the
Ontario Library Consortium to
match locally raised funds to buy
the five computers for the last
five branches. Ours arriv'ed on
June 29.
On behalf of all the patrons and
the staff I would like to thank
ALL those who donated towards
the computer, and recognize the
following . donors for their
generous contributions of $25 or
more; Kinloss Kairshea W.I.,
Town and Country Club, Robert.
