on June 12, 1990, where she had.

Born on March 74, 1915 in Mat

School :in 1s34,: Mrs. McPherson
started her teaching 'career in "Mat-
thiasville Muskoka and retired from
teaching with the Barrie Public
School Board in 1974 :as. a Special
Education Teacher. She was a
dedicated and well respected,
educator who always saw- only the -
best in. her' many pupils arid,
friends.'Herretirement speech, beat
expressed her devotion.to teaching:
"when one enjoys whatever career

leaving fond memories, ` satisfaction
end happiness." ` .
Mrs. McPherson is survived by
her daughter, Heather Collider and
son-in-law, Geoff •of Perth,
Australia; her son, Don, daughter-

ex -service persons and dependents • receive
benefits to which they may be entitled. The follow-
ing
ollowing brief outlines may help you to determine
whether you may qualify.
1 1. DISABILITY PENSION I
Disabilities which were incurred during Active
Force service (wartime), during an assignment in
a Special Duty Area (peacetime) or which arose
out or were directly connected with peacetime Ser
vice may be pensionable. It is essential to have
an upeto=date diagnosis of the condition and your
statement describing the relationship ,of the
disability to service. If you have a pension, hien
were you last examined? Do you rrequire ',Special'
attention because of your pensioned condition?
2. WAR VETE ANS ALLOW CE__
This income related program ensures that a
qualified person receives the maximum permissi-
ble monthly income.
Qualifications - age 60 male; 65 female; service
in a theatre of war or in receipt of a wartime
disability pension; income from all sources,with
certain exemptions must be at or below the perms
missible level.
RESUMPTION OF 'PENSION
Authority nowexists to permit the resumption of
pensions which had been discontinued upon the
remarriage of the widow(er).
13. VETERANS INDEPENDgNCE' PROGRAM
Qualified persons may receive residential care;
nursing home . intermediate care; ambulatory
health care and assistance with 'housekeeping
groundskeeping; . , ,
