at the Kineardine and;. District
Hospital m her 73 rd year..
Born in Huron Township on
December 27, 1917, she was the
daughter of the'late Angus Edward
and Jessie McLeod.
Besides her parents; Adeline was
'predeceased by her husband
Joseph, , two sisters and one
brother.
She is survived by two sons, Jim,
and his •wife Charlotte of Sherwood
Park, Alberta; Jack, and hist wife
Shirley. of Kincardine. and two
dda� ghters, .Toaline . Norman of Kit-
chener and; Marg, and her husband
Wayne Stanley of-Lucknow.
She is also . survived by eight
grandchildren and one
great.
Adeline served as Librarian in
Ripely for 19 years, and retired in
1901.
She was member of Knox
Presbyter' arch in Ripley,
Secretary . of on W.M.S., a
member of Rip Horticulture
Society and also a member of the
"Happy Hearts" Senior Citizens
club.
The funeral service. was held at
the MacKenzie and McCreath
Funeral Home, Ripley, on Thurs-

ed her • degree in Secretarial

Catherine and her husband, Rae,
-raised their family in. Ottawa. They
moved to • Morri sburg, on the St.
• Lawrence River, five years ago,.
where she was interested in her
community, friends and church.
Catherine was an active Member
of St. Paul's Presbyterian torch
in Ottawa and Knox Presbyterian
Church in Morrisburg. She receiv-.
ed a life top in the W.M.S.
shortly before her death. ;
Catherine is survived by her.hue-
` band Rae . Myers andthree
children, Linda ' (Mrs. David
Rrouillette) of Bracebridge, Janet
(Mrs. Erik .Williams) of Toronto
and Gordon Myers of .Landon; and
• : a sister, Helen (Mrs. George
MacGregor) of Point Clark. Also
survived` by a grandson, Neil
Williams of Toronto.

brother Jack N. MacKenzie.

14th Johnstone reunion
More than 30 descendants of
James and Mary • Ann Johnstone
gathered at Brookside Public
School for their 14th annual reunion
Sunday, May 27.
President Gordon Johnstone
welcomed everyone and a good
smorgasbord meal was enjoyed.
Liz Dadson favored with a few
piano selections to open this pro-
gram. •Anna Johnstone then played
a tape of several songs sung by her
son, Hugh, who could not attend
the reunion.
Prizes were • awarded to the
following: John and Janet
Johnstone. of Ajax for coming the
furthest; Myrtle Johnstone, eldest
lady; Harold Johnstone, eldest
man; Adam Wilkins, youngest per-
son; Jim Hunter, most buttons,
Dorothy Ziegler, most colorful
clothing; and Isabel Hunter most
loonies.
In family news, Jim Hunter told
of a foiled trip to Florida, thanks to
a bus strike. Charlie Wilkins told of
a new grandchild, several moves in
his children's lives, and he and
Mayme are now • delivering the
Toronto Star.
Eldon Culbert has a new great-
granddaughter.

variety of trips, health incidents,
and good times enjoyed last year
In business, secretary Lis Dadson
read the minutes which . were
adopted as read. A' minute of
silence was held in memory of
those who had passed away last
year.
The next reunion will be Sunday,
May 26, 1991, beginning at 11 a.m.
the executive will remain the same.
Carol Nivins and daughters will
take on the program, Janet
Wilkins, the children's games, and
Eileen Ashton and Anna Johnstone,
the lunch.
Treasurer Bernice Johnstone said
the balance,from last.year was
$40.50 and $2 was collected this
year. Expenditures were $57; leav-
ing $45.50
eaving$45.50 for nett year's reunion.
The day ended with the hope for
a better turnout of youngsters and
oldsters next : year. Gordon
Johnstone encouraged everyone to
eat or take home some watermelon
after the.afternoan of visiting had
concluded..
Cost of meals,on-wheels
increases. b
The volunteer drivers and run-
ners fo'r 'Meals on, Wheels met on
May 23, 1990 at Pinecrest Nursing
Home. Time was spent visiting
residents and playing bridge and
euchre. Lunch was served by
Pinecrest staff � and Meals - en

of the accomplishment of the past
five years and introduced Marie
Vohner, director of Pinecreig, Alice
Ritchie, food supervisor, Bernice
Johone, secretary, Mary Boyle ,
treasurer of the Meals on Wheels
group committee and Mamie
Roulaton, the organizer of the
volunteer drivers. Each spoke
briey.
• Miss Thompson also announced
that the fust of meals would rise as
of June 1, hence the cost of meals
to recipients would rise to 13.50.
Each volunteer then received a
