This initiative will take . effect
September 1, 1990, to help co unity

While recognizing this initiative cannot
address all compensations issues,. the
Minister feels it is a positive . step
towards providing support to community
agencies to help impprove the incomes -of
the lowest -paid workers,
The government will -also be moving
forward with new social assistance
legislation designed to merge two pieces
of welfare legislation into a single unified
Act.
An Advisory` Group appointed by the
Minister will prepare'. proposals which
will result in fundamental reform for peo- .
ple in need of assistance.

Police.

the sites: of . Quebec. Everyone is really
looking forward to, it!

Mrs. Scott grew up in Moncton Ont.
When
Mrs;
first got out oil teacher's col-
lege
ollege she was hired here 'at Brookside.
Mrs. Scott took 11 years out of teaching.
to raise her family, but then returned
back to teaching here at Brookside. She
has taught grade three, four and five
before teaching gradetwo now.
Mrs. Scott enjoys sewing, cooking and
crafts. She has ' wanted to be a teacher
shice she was five and likes to work with
kids.
Mrs. Scott's favourite thing about her
job is that every day is unique and ex-
citing in its own way.
