The assessment increase left the board with a net gain of about $78,000. Grey County absorbed the bulk of the increase, with assessment in Grey up 14.8 per cent, while assessment in Bruce in- creased by 4.7 per cent. Serre said separate board assessment makes up about 10 per cent of the total for the two counties, while the other 90 per cent goes to public boards. Churches/gear up for visitors., Three area churcl$s are gearing up to welcome two special visitors to the Wingham and Brussels area this weekend. A group of women from Wingham United,,t. Andrews Presbyterian and Brussels Mennonite Fellowship became acquainted with Cathy Rempel Quicke through attending retreats at Pioneer Camp, which is a part of Inter -Varsity Christian Fellowship. It is these women who have helped to organize a weekend of inspirational activities, so Cathy and her husband Bob can bring their joyous ministry of music and scripture to Huron County. Cathy Rempel Quicke is a professional Christian musician and a student of theology. She was born in Saskatchewan with a visual disability which left her legally blind. In spite of this handicap, she obtained a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Saskatchewan in voice and piano. Bob Quicke is a dramatist, preacher and youth minister and is presently tak- ing aking graduate studies in theology. He has worked in design engineering, the com- puter industry; the trucking business and at one time ran his own bus company. Throughout his schooling and working life he has been associated with drama and music. His work with Sunday School, Scouts and a rock band has brought him into contact with the youth scene. Bob and Cathy were married lit September 1989 and make their home in Vancouver where they both attend Regent College.
