Students and staff at Lucknow Central Public School gathered together last Wednes-
day at lunch time to plant a flowering crab apple tree in memory of their late
classmate, Braudon'Gunter. Father Harpy :Reitzel of St. Joseph's Church, .Kingsbridge
blessed the tree. Following the dedication ceremony, many students; teachers and
parents partook bf a token laying of the earth. The funds .to purchase : the tree were
raised by families and students of the school. After paying for thetree, the remain-
ing $80• will be donated. to Sick Children's Hospital, Toronto. (Pat Livingston photo)

Mr. and Mrs. •Reg Powell returned

Pastor and Mrs. Marvin . Christensen
enjoyed a nice holiday at Montreal with
• Mrs. Christensen (Sr.),- Mr. and Mrs.
Blass Christensen and family, and the
Pastor's brother and other friends.
The •Holyrood Women's Institute served
a delicious luncheon to family and friends
following' the funeral of the late Cliff
• Johnston, wlio was a former resident of
Con.' 8, before he and Nell retired to
Wingham.
Last . year the 'Johnston held their ,
Golden Wedding in the Institute room in
the Kinloss • .municipal hall, their son
Barry is our Kinloss Township reeve.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom McDonaldhad her
sister Essie Bloomfield, of Paisley and
their brother-in-law, Edbert Bushell of
here during the week.
On Friday evening the Kinlough
Presbyterian congregation held a pot luck
supper at the . church . basement where
everyone enjoyed a delicious meal and
time of fellowship. They then went up in-
to the church and the WMS took over for
the Meeting and the •Program from the
Glad .Tidings entitled "The Promised
Presence".
• Lorraine MacPherson presided for the
program. Bessie Maulden welcomed all.
Betty Bushell and Barbara Bushell read
scriptures from St. Matthews chapter 28.
Mrs. Baird played a piano solo and
Gladys Rom read a scripture ,from
St. Mark, chapter 16, followed by the
hymn "Sing Ye Faithful".
Joan Barr read a scripture from St.
- Luke, chapter 24. Don Robertson provid-
ed violin mu6ic accompanied by Lorraine
MacPherson on the organ.
St. John, chapter 21 was read . by
Erhna Halder ly and Bessie Maulden had
the closing, pryer followed by the hymn

Rev. Baird favoured us with`a solo ac-
companied by Mrs. Baird. The offering
was received by Myrtle Percy and Grace
Eckenswiller.
llfir. and Mrs. Don Robertson were 'ask-
ed
sked to come, to the front of the church
when Rev. Baird expressed their great
loss to their congregation as the Robert-
, sons were always so faithful at worship.
The presentation of a farewell gift was
made by -Don Bushell. Both Don and
Gladys replied fittingly and the president
Lorraine MacPherson closed with the
" Benediction. Everyone wishes Don and
Tiny, many happy years together in their
new home in Lucknow.

week -end with Mr. , and Mrs. Lloyd
.Johnston and family, con. 8.
