tion, Bert Campbell has resigned bus posi-
tion as Superintendent of Finance.
The board accepted • his resignation,
"with regret", at its Tuesday, April. 17

Inglis, board chairman, wouldn't
elaborate on Campbell's resignation ex-
cept to say it was for "personal
reason's."
Campbell was hired on January 1, tak-
ing over from Teake Veenstra, who held
the position since 1981.
Campbell's resignation becomes effec-
tive July 1, however in his letter -he said
if he should obtain employment_ before
that date he would give reasonable
notice. He also wrote that he would be '
willing to assist in the transition.
A striking committee was formed to
appoint a new superintendent of finance.
The position will be advertised.
"Possibly, Bert could apply again. We
would hope he would," said Inglis. "His'
resignation is accepted with a great deal °
of sorrow, but we understand his deci-
sion."

The Purple Grove Knifty Kneaders 4-11
club treated Huron Villa residents and
guests to an Easter tea recently.
After a few words of welcome, the
members and leaders were introduced. The
club then performed their skit "The Little
Red Hen and Her Loaf of Bread". Samples
of the girls' delicious baking were given to
several lucky door prize winners.
Congratulations to Kristy McGillivray
and Shantel Irwin who successfully com-
pleted their very first 4-11 project. special
recognition was given to Kelly ,McG _livray
and Angela Devitt who received their sixth
club awards. Other Knifty Kneaders includ-
ed Larissa Books, Christine Van Sickle,
Kim Liddle, Angela Taylor, Sandra
Blackwell, Donna Jean Forster and leaders
Ruthe Patterson and Dianne Simpson.
Special thanks to the Purple Grove W.I.
and OMAF for their support. Both "young
and old" bread makers felt that
"Breadventure" was definitely a successful
learning experience.
Courtesies were given by Gladys Huston
and Christine Van Sickle presented each
leader with a gift on behalf of the club
(Thanks girls, it was a pleasure to work
with such fine young teenagers.)
While Eileen Nesbitt entertained with
some lively piano music, everyone enjoyed
the chance to visit and sample .different
varieties of homemade breads and rolls.
Extra baking was given to the Huron Villa
folks as a way for saying thanks for help-
ing to make the party such a grand
success.
