"My main concern is to provide an im- age of what Bruce County is ,and will be. I think it's important we lookinto the 1990s using a new concept for county tourism," said Sally Wright, county tourism promoter. Bruce County council approved the new logo after seeing the colorful, graphic design for the first .time, on April 17. The new logo was created by Wright at the request of the Agriculture, Tourism and Planning/Land Division Committee: However, her image of Bruce County and the image several Bruce County council members have of the county are different. "This just doesn't turn me on at all. ' I don't see anything -in it. Maybe it's , just. me," said Joe Hawke, Eastnor reeve. The logo depicts the county's com- modities of clean blue water and air as well as green rolling hills, farmland, the Niagara Escarpment and famous red sunsets along Lake Huron's ..sandy beaches. Wright said she chose to gowith several symbols as "no single symbol represents Bruce County. "The logo is suppose to lure all types of tourists and provide a visual descrip- tions of what Bruce County has to offer people. Its purpose is to promote Bruce County within and outside its borders:" Rob Thompson, Paisley reeve, said he liked the logo, but added the distinctive LUCKNOW PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH MINISTER Rev.
