ARM REPORT
Bruce County OMAF
host u c essfu
In our increasing urban society,
generations removed from the faun,.
knowledge of farming hes become
distorted. The image of the family farm
with its red barn, a few chickens in the
yard, .some pigs m the mud and cows in
the field is not accurate an more; but,
neither is the sterile, mechanised, emo-
tionless
mo-tionle . "factory farm" an accurate
image.,
Agriculture In The Classroom is an in-
itiative designed to increase the
awareness and appreciation of
agriculture. The focus is on the education
system. Producers and,. concerned, in-
dividuals can help teachers make
agriculture realistic ai,d interesting while
working within e. programs.
An information char , g workshop has
been planned for April 10 starting at 9.30
