Edna and May
Pearl Uoyd of Bracebridge and Mr.
and Mrs. Ivan Lloyd of London visited on
Saturday with Edna and May Boyle.
Karen Lickers of London spent a few
days with her uncle and omit Pastor and
Mrs. Marvin Christensen who have
returned home after a week's visit at
Montreal.
. Members from the Holyrood Women's
Institute attended the entertaining night
of the Ripley Institute on Tuesday
evening.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Robert
McEwan (nee Kim Wahl) who were mar-
ried on Saturday and will be residing at
Kincardine.
We are glad that Charlene McEwan
was able to return home from Univers'.
tY Hospital London where she underwent
surgery and is now convalescing.
Some from here attended the St.
Patricks supper and family night at Pur-
ple Grove Community Centre on Saturday
evening.
We extend sympathy to Mr. and Mrs.
Tom McDonald and Mr, Edbert Bushell
who attended two funerals in their fami-
ly during the week. Danny Stewart their
nephew passed away at Millarton on Sun-
day and his mother Mary Stewart pass-
, ed am on Tuesday at the Kincardine
and District Hospital. Mary Stewart was
a sister of Tom McDonald and a sister-
in-law of Edbert Bushell. Merle Rhody of
here is a niece.
Janet and Joyce Lane who are atten-
ding University of Guelph were home
with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Stewart
Lane last week -end.

The Kinlough Presbyterian W.M.S. held
their March meeting at the church on
Wednesdai 'with a guest speaker and
slide presentation. Lori ane MacPherson
extended a welcome and opened the
meeting with prayer followed by the
hymn, According to thy gracious word
and all repeated the purpose. The rollcall
was a favourite scripture verse. Minutes
business and correspondence followed in-
cluding an invitation to Lucknow W.M.S.
and Teeswater W.M.S. thankofferings.
The president gave the devotions from
St. Matthew, the•story of the annointing
of Jesus with precious contents in the
Alabastor box. We should always give

ingly to the Lord's work. Pray earnestly
for God's blessing daily and what did you
give up for. Lent was told and prayer.
Mrs. Dori Reid had the program begin-
ning with a Quiz and introduced Mark
Dahmer who has spent time in Pakistan
on a Canada World Youth program under
the sponsorship of World Youth. He was
one. of 21 from Canada who went to
various countries.
His pictures gave a glimpse of
Pakistan, their life and work Be work-
ed in a light bulb factory and also in a
Veterans' hospital where he was privileg-
ed to work with a doctor. He was dress-
ed in Pakistan attire known as Berke and
Marilyn Reid modelled the ladies
costume.
Your correspondent is quite familiar
with the hand work from there as we
have it at Deanery Meetings and at our
friendship day and it is beautiful.
The speaker, was thanked and
presented with a gift. There was a ques-
tion and answer period before the Grace
and refreshments.
