While the membership is high, President Errington said that the older members have given freely of their time, both in leading and wading to keep the Society active. What is needed now is shot of adrenaline, in the form of younger members taking an ac- tive part. The Horticultural Society is for people of all ages. You don't even have to have a "green. thumb". Projects of the Society include flower beds at the Medical Centre, the school, all entrances to the village, the parks, the post office and the planters on the main street. Special events include the MayTea and the Flower Show., Meetings are held monthly with guest speakers that cover an aspects of gardening.
