A new development in home heating
has recently been installed in st Lucknow
borne. Gant Chisholm of Chili' oho Fuels,
Lucknow, believes his new aide venting
system will make cheaper oil heat
available to thousands of houses now tied
to power lines, Mr. Chisholm is the first
dealer in Western Ontario to offer,a side
venting oil, furnace system to people who
don't now have a conventional chimney.
l'he He Energy Group, of which Mr.
Chisholm is vicepresident, claims the
latest high efficiency oil furnaces are 55
per cent cheaper to operate than electric
heating. Cut your electric power bill by
55 ur even*/ per cent for five yews, and
the coot of installation is paid back very
quickly. According to .Mr. Chisholm the
side vent is about five per cent mare ef-
ficient than a conventional chinmey.
The Nide vents are approved in the US.
and Canadian Maritimes, but are still
considered experimental In Ontario,
therefore you must apply to the Moistly
ef Consumer and Commercial Relations
to have one of these new unite installed.
