Just why they purchased that goat is an interesting story in itself. The goat's milk was used to raise a newborn foal. Although the mare had milk for her foal, the foal was sick 'when born and unable to suck. The Geddes milked the goat, and fed the foal by bottle. Today, Judy and Bill have 30 or more goats. They prefer the Nubian goat with some Alpine in it's background. Judy feels that this is the best breed for a good meat goat as the deed Milk Well and therefore Pat a good finish on. their kids.
