Agnes Fanier was hostess on Tuesday
evtlillig January .30 far the Village card
party. A smaller group attended but an
enjoyed the cards and social time. The
next evening is February 13 at the hue
of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Falconer. Anyone
in the village is welcome to attend.
Uuited Vburb
The anneal meeting of the Whitechurch
United Chureh was held in the SundaY
school room of the church on January 23.
The minister, Rev. 14. lileilson opened
the meeting with scripture Luke 4: 16.20,
followed by prayer. Rev. Neilson• was ap.
pointed chairman and Mrs. Dave Gibbas
secretary.
All reports were given and accepted.
The books were audited and found
correct.
It was reported that 16 families were
receiving the United Church observer
through the Every Family Plan. It was
greed to continue. with the plan for 1390
with Agnes Farrier as representative.
Dave Gibb was appointed as .delegate
to the Presbytery with Clifford Laidlaw
as assistant.
On June 10, the United Church will be
celebrating its 65th anniversary with Rev,
Neilson as speaker. The annual anniver-
sary will be celebrated on Sunday, June
17.

On January 30 members of the
Whitechurch Club started their course
called Breadventure. The club has six
new members making a ' toal of 15.
MamaDow is president, Dianne Ross,
vice president, Beth Gugg secretary and
Karen Lubbers is press reporter. Leaders
are Kathleen Elliott and Betty Ross. '
The meeting opened with the 4-H
pledge. •
The group learned which ingredients
are put into bread and watched ILeader
Kathleen Elliott kneed bread. Members
then had a chance to try:their hand at
kneed*. • " •
" A Whole wheat twist loaf was taste
tested. Coverings included cinnamon
honey butter or maple pecan butter,

and triple with 252 and 665.
Annette LeBreton's 1 took high single
for the ladies with Wilma Elliott's 490
capturing the triple.
