team were .on the road bright and early
as they tray fled to Howick for their first
game in a three day tournament.
Lucknow's game, was at 6 aero. against
Blyth and although the players looked a
little tired as they left the dressing roan,
they soon carne awake as the game
started..
There was no score at the god' of the
fust and it was into the second' where
Conor McDonaghpicked up hisown re-
luiutul to , score an unassisted goal. Less
than three minutes later Daryl Aitchison
Picked his cornerand scored - with;
Richard Welke getting the assist, With
one minute left in . the period, Dennis
Lubbers lifted one over the should of .the.
Blyth goalie to •give Lucknow a 3,.- 0' lead.
In the' third Period, Lubbers again
scored onhis. backhand, with Mike Wyn-
dham.Picking uP the, assist After a made
scramble in front of the. riet, Aitchison
scored his second of the game with the
assist going tp McDonagh. With ;two
minutes left in the game,a shot from, in-
side the blue line. by Wye went by a
tired goalie arld McDonagh and: Aitchison
received the' assists..•
Although Myth had numerous scoring
chances, they were unable to get by Jor+-
dan Andrew, who played a strong game
net got Lucknow's first shut -out of the
year. Special mention . should also be
made to Lucknow's defence, for a well
played game.
Lueknow 2, Wioghanm 1
On Sunday, Lucknow went against the
team from Wingham in an exciting; even-
ly matched game. Although . Wingham
struck first with a goal in the second,
that was all that Adthn Cameron would
allow as he played an -excellent : game.
Richard Welke put Lucknow . on the,
scoreboard on a three on one breakaway
and less than a minute later Robbie
McGee put one in the net on Jordan An-
drew's round..:
The third period was scoreless but the
efforts of both teams left the fans on the
edge of their seats.
Lucknow 3, Hanover 2
In the third game of the tournament,
Lucknow opened the scoring against

On February' 1, Lucknow Novice A's
travelled to Blyth and fought their way to
a hard earned 4 ;- 4 tie. Jonathan
MacKinnon led the Scoring attack with a ..
hat trick and Craig Moffat scored the tie-
ing goal with 1:13 to play. Adding assists 7
were Shane 'Pettepjace with two and
Jonathan MacKinnon with one. •
Bantam ;A's win
first round ,
The Lucknow Bantam A's have won
their first . round of playoffs against
Goderich: It was a no contest series with
Lucknow scoring 34 goals. , Goderich
answered back with taro goals in the first
game..
The first game was 16 ,. 2 and the ser
cond 18 - 0.
Joel Sutton was injured in practice and
everyone wishes him a -speedy recovery.
Lancers lose two
in weekend action
The Lucknow Lancers came up empty
handed on two occasions over the
weekend as Ripley held an for an 8-'6
win and Kincardine rolled over the
Lancers for an 8 - 3 win. •
Ripley took`control early in the game
building up a 6 ' 1lead at one point and.
then held on to win 8 - 6. The. Lancers
finally . got on track late in the second
when Art Clark and Andy Grazier added'.
one each along with Pat Murray's first
period goal as the Lancers trailed 6 - 3
after two periods. '
Scott Hackett and Grant 'Gilchrist add
ed two more early inthe third as the
Lancers were right back in the thick of.

This was as close as the local team got
with Ripley adding an insurance goal to,

Sunday night in Lucknow the Lancers
couldn't get their act together and Kin-
cardine rolled to an easy .8 3 win. An-
dy Grazier, Brad Priestap and Grant
Gilchrist netted goals for the Lancers.
The Lancers head to Marton on Friday
night for their final'game of the regular
:season.
