photography,senior and. junior closes
(under 19 years/ If you, are planning to
show at this year's fair and; would like to

Honorariums
for Ashfield
During the January meetings of
Ashfield Township Council, By-law #i,
1990, being a bylaw tQ appoint officials
and set out remunerations for same, was
given three readings and passed.
Honorariums approved for Council for
two meetings per month were: Reeve,
$2,000; Deputy Reeve, $1,900; and Coun-
cillors $1,800; special meetings 360 and
$30 according to duration.,.
Appointments to committees and
boards for 1990 are: Medical Centre,
Allan Gibson; -Arena & Recreation Board,
Bill Andrew and Arthur Simpson; Fire
Board, Allan Gibson and Lee Cairncross;
Farm Safety, Arthur Simpson; Maitland
Valley Conservation Authority, Lee Cairn -
cross; Landfill Site, Paul Black and Lee
Cairncross and OPP Committee, Lee
Cairncross.
Tolman Behrens was present to discuss
his application for severance on the W
1/2 of Lot 1, Pt Lot 2, W.D.
Mr. Behrens was informed that his ap-
plication does not conform to the Ashfield
Township Secondary Plan and therefore
council could not support his application.

Huron County Planning and Development
Committee.
A request from the County of Lambton,
for Ashfield to accept their non -hazardous
domestic and commercial waste at the
landfill site was denied. Also a request
from the newly -formed Goderich
Chamber of Commerce for a grant, was
denied.
By-law N2, 1990, being a by-law to
authorize the council to borrow on the
credit of thecorporation to meet current
expenditures until taxes are collected,

5, 1990 were passed setting a load limit
on the culvert at Lot 12 and 13, `con. 11-12
W.D. to 4 tonnes; the culvert at Lots 3'
and 4 W.D. "Cori. 5 to 5 tonnes; and the
culvert at Lots 3 and 4 W.D., Con. 6 to
5 tonnes respectively. •
The clerk Was directed to advertise for
a Building Inspector and/or Drainage
Superintendent, and to obtain prices for

thly healing service at St. Peter's
Anglican Church, Lucknow on Saturday, : ,
February 3,
The recently inducted members of the
order were pleased to welcome a number
of guests from our own, community. It
was reported thatdworshippers had driven
from as far as Orangeville and. Walker-
ton to attend this scum sisal service of
divine healing.
Guest speaker for the evening was
Father David Atwell from St. 'Peter's.
The emphasis of his teaching was on the
importance of prayer and faith.
The group was led in songs of praise
and worship by organist Anne Pritchard.
Anne had just returned from an intensive
one week. course in the MS. on praise
and worship in music.
