OBITUARIES
Jesus Reid. •
• Jean Reid of Lucknow paw away at
Pinecrest Manor, Lucknow on January
27, 1990 at the age of 92,' She was a
member of the. Lucknow Presbyterian
!Church..
Mrs.. Reid, the, former. Jean Wilson,
was born 'in West Wawanosh Township*
on September 3, 1897, a daughter of the
late William and Mary (Kirkland) Wilson.
She was the wife of the late William J.
Reid, formerly of Dungannon. •
Mrs. Reid is survived by two children,
John. K. Reid of R. 1, Dungannon, and
Doug and his wife Henny Reid of Sarnia; •
a brother, Wallace Wilson Of R. 2, •
Auburn; three • grandchildren, Brenda
Perry, Leslie Reid and John Reid, •
• She was predeceased by a brother, -
James and, a sister, Elizabeth.
Visitation was at the MacKenzie and
McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow from
where the funeral service was conducted'
on Tuesday, January. 30, by Rev: M,
Kinsman of the Lucknow Presbyterian
Church.
Spring interment in Dungannon-.
Cemetery.
Janet. Drennan
Janet Drennan of Dryden Manor,
Lucknow, passed away in Wingham and
District Hospital on Saturday, January
27, 1990 in her 94th year. Mrs. Drennan
was a member of the Lucknow United
Church.
She was born on August 19, 1896, a
daughter of the late Joseph and Lisa
Jane (Henry) Hackett. The former Janet
Hackett , married Wilfred Drennan on
March 15, 1922 in Ashfield Township.
Mrs. Drennan is .survived. by her
daughter, Lorraine and Mel Stewart of
Guelph; her son J.C. and wife Emily
Drennan of R. 1, Dungannon; 'five grand-
children and three great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband,
Wilfred; five sisters and three brothers.
Visitation was at the MacKenzie and
McCreath Funeral Home,Lucknow. The.
funeral service was held at the Lucknow
United Church on January 29, at 2 p.m.,
conducted by Rev. G. McFarlane, The
United Church choir sang accompanied
by pianist, Isabel Shepherd .and organist,
Tony Stickings.
Pallbearers were Eldon Bradley, Vern
Hunter, Ken Laidlaw, Carl Bale, •Shawn
Drennan, and Paul Drennan.
Spring interment in Dungannon
Cemetery.
JOHN 11. NOBLE
John Noble of Walford Ontario, and
formerly of St. Augustine, died in Elliott
Lake on January 15. He was 70.
Born in East Nissouri Township on Oc-
tober 10, 1919, he was the son of Walter
H. and Johannes .(Fredin) Noble. Raised
in Thamesford, he moved to Dorchester,
and then to St. Augustine.
A carpenter by profession, he was mar-
ried to Helen Marie .(Smith) Noble, who
predeceased him in 1977.
Mr. Noble is survived by his children,.
Marie and Don Jefferson of Clinton,
Dorothy and Art Bourdeau of Goderich,
Ken and Jean Noble of Mitchell, Steve
and Wendy Noble of Barrier, B.C.,
Roger and Lynn Noble, of RR3 Auburn,
Sharon and. Bill Milian of RR5 Goderich,
and Ed and Jeannette Noble of Innesfail,
Alberta.
Also surviving are one sister, Myrtle
Shaddock of Dorchester, one brother,
George Noble of Avon, 23 grandchildren,
and eight great-grandchildren. He was
also a favorite uncle of Austin and
Margaret Clipperton and family. •
Mr. Noble was predeceased by three
brothers, Fred, Dick and Carl Noble, one
sister, Lena Clipperton, and by two
grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at the Beat-
tie
eattie ChaPel of the Beattie -Falconer
Funeral Homes on January .19 with Rev.
James Vanslyke presiding.
Interment in Clipperton Cemetery, West
Nissouri Township.
