°•On January 19, 'in the first of a two
game weekend for the Lucknow Atom
A's, Lucknow was topped by the visiting.
Hanover' squad 4-1. Hanover team,
although small in number, played a very
disciplined game and. kept Lucknow'off
the scoring sheet until the third period.
The Hanover goalie was very consistent.
Lucknow put on brief flurries of action
but did not have a solid,sustained attack
through most of the game.
The Lucknow scoring was accomplish-
ed by Glenn Ferguson when be pepped in,
a goal at 12:18 in the third period from
Luke Sproul and Jason Kerr. A Lucknow
weakness was in the penalty department
in that they took sig penalties in . the
game, some of which proved. costly.
ATOM A'S REBOUND
TO DEFEAT TEESWATER
In the second game of, the weekend set,
the, Lucknow . Atom A's on January 20
Played at home against Teeswater and.
defeated them 8-2.
The Lucknow coaches made good use
of a video tape of the January 19 loss to
Hanover when the team met at 1:00 ,p,m.
for ,a very thorough review of
assignments and strategy. The coaching'.
effort was quite evident as soon as the
Lucknow team took to the ice . against
Teeswater. The boys played with tremen-

seemed to be inspired by the energetic
play ofthe forwards and defense and the
opposition was held to only two goals.
Tyler Brooks did very well between the

The Lucknow scoring was concentrated
in the third period,.. Teeswater seemed to
run, out of gas as the game went on.
The scoring started off wiith,Teeswater
surprising Lucknow with a goal at 9:37 of
the first period. Lucknow responded with
a goal by Lee Drennan from Jeff •'Porter
at 4:49 of the first period.
Lucknow ' pulled ahead in the second
period with two unansweredgoals by ..
Jason Kerr from Luke Sproul and Glenn
Ferguson and then later by Kevin Rintoul
from Jeff Porter and Stuart Rintoul.
The dam burst in the third'period when
Lucknow outplayed,: , outskated and
outscored Teeswater by,;five : goals to one.
The goal scoring binge came with Lee
