Schools, organizations and communities
throughout the Province are encouraged
to order free, especially ;imprinted gar
bage bags being make, availabe by NOVA
Corporation of Alberta to undertake
clean-up, beautification and recylcling
projects during PITCH IN WEEK which
will take place May 7-13.
"We .are asking participants in this
year's PITCH -IN campaign to, if possi-
ble, separate the waste which they collect
into recyclable and nonrecyclable
materials and place it in especially mark-
ed bags," states . Charles Alexander;
President of the Ontario Federation of
Anglers and Hunters
As a result Of increased funding from
NOVA Corporation, • the number of gar-
bage bags to be made available will in-
crease and organizers are hopeful that
some bags will be provided to every
group requesting them. In 1969, a number
of organizations did not receive bags due
to overwhehning demand
"We urge everyone planning to par-
ticipate in PITCH -IN WEEK to contact
the organizers of the campaign as soon
as possible with their request," com-
ments Alexander.
PITCH -IN WEEK is a program of the
